Coletti unable to drive at Brands

Having been confirmed to race alongside Basil Shaanban and F3 Euroseries returnee Tim Sandtler at Brands Hatch this weekend, Stefano Coletti will now be missing the event following his large GP2 accident at Spa on Saturday. The Monegasque driver continues to recover from a damaged back and injured feet.     

Having gone straight on at the daunting Eau Rouge corner at Spa-Francorchamps, Coletti collided head-on with the tyre barriers to sustain a compressed vertebrae as well as heavy bruising to the feet.

Fortunately for the Prema Powerteam, Sandtler's presence will mean two cars will still be able to circulate at the Kent circuit. "Thanks to the arrival of Tim Sandtler, we have been able to field three cars again," explained team boss Angelo Rosin, "but a bad crash suffered at Spa will prevent us from having Stefano Coletti on track.

"We'll work with two cars but losing our main reference point will be tough. We're fully relying on Shaaban, a talented and experienced driver, who will definitely help Tim in becoming comfortable with the team. We also wish Stefano a quick recovery and we'll be back together in Barcelona."
