Sandtler's outing with Prema was confirmed on Tuesday as the team also mentioned that Coletti will be able to compete following his large GP2 accident at Spa on Saturday.
Sandtler enters the championship with a year's experience in the International Formula Master series as well as a previous two-year spell in F3 Euro and German Formula BMW beforehand.
"We're really pleased to have agreed terms with Sandtler," said Team Principal Angelo Rosin. "He's the ideal driver for us at the moment; he's fast, reliable, experienced and will share a valuable contribution to the team's growth. Brands Hatch is a really demanding race track; the arrival of Tim will also benefit Coletti and Shaaban, who'll be able to share telemetry data."
