Christian Vietoris has promised not to give up in the fight for this year's title as Rounds 11 and 12 at the Nürburgring fast approach. The German driver is currently the closest challenger to leader Jules Bianchi and, with half of the championship still to go, knows that costly mistakes cannot be afforded.

ART's Bianchi currently leads the way in the F3 Euroseries with 61 points at the top of the Drivers' table - what chances does Vietoris have of being on par with the Frenchman at the Eiffel track? "The Nürburgring is a challenging circuit, with the first sector being particularly demanding," the Mücke Motorsport driver explained. "It features numerous corners and choosing the right racing line is vital there.
"At the same time, the engineers' task - to find an optimum setup - is also anything but easy; they have to look for the best possible compromise between a lot of downforce for the relatively slow first sector and a high top speed for the fast third sector."
With an 11-point cushion back to third placed Jean-Karl Vernay, how does Christian rate his chances of challenging for the 2009 crown? "It's true, Jules Bianchi's 18-point lead in the championship is rather big but I'm far from giving up in the battle for the title," the determined German warned. "My goal for the coming weekend is to secure a race win, preferably on Saturday."
