Christian Vietoris has been confirmed by Mücke Motorsport as the fourth part of a quadruple line-up for the 2009 season. The German star, who finished sixth in last season's championship, was seemingly out of a drive with the squad for 2009 until the team confirmed to GPUpdate.net that it will infact be running four cars this year.
19-year-old Vietoris will also be partnered this year by ex-Manor pilot Sam Bird, who will be looking to do battle when the season commences at Hockenheim in the middle of May. "I can confirm that Vietoris will continue to race with us for another season," team owner Peter Mücke told GPUpdate.net.
The four-way Mücke line-up of 2009 will consist of two F3 regulars, in Vietoris and Bird, with the second half being new to the series: "Our four drivers will be given equal chances, but it is obvious that clear Christian has the best chance to win the championship, and the same goes for Sam really. The other two men are rookies so we will have to wait and see how they go - hopefully they will show some great performances so we can make it a great season for the team."
