Van Dam joins Kolles & Heinz Union

The latest F3 Euroseries team Kolles & Heinz Union announced the team's first driver for the upcoming season. Japanese F3 champion Carlo van Dam will be racing with the Volkswagen powered team in 2009.

Van Dam is the first of two drivers of the newly formed team. The Dutchman claimed the German F3 title in 2007 and the Japanese F3 title in 2008. On both occasions Van Dam dominated the season. Volkswagen Motorsport director Kris Nissen was pleased to see Van Dam race with Volkswagen engines in the upcoming F3 Euroseries season. "I am happy with our latest member in our Formula Three family and I wish Kolles & Heinz Union every success in its debut season," Nissen said. "The two team founders are two motorsport experts and with Van Dam they bring an experienced and fast guy in our team."
