Shaaban joins Prema in Formula Three
09 January 2009The Prema Powerteam announced that it signed up Basil Shaaban for the 2009 Formula 3 Euroseries season. It will be Shaaban's third season in Formula 3. The 28-year-old will join Stefano Coletti at the Prema Powerteam.

Shaaban commented on his deal with Prema: "It is with great pleasure that I enter my third year of F3 partnering a team of Prema's caliber and heritage. In my first two seasons of F3 Euro Series I developed significantly, and I'm honored that Prema has affirmed my potential and is committed to our 2009 challenge together.
"The team impressed me during our winter test at Estoril in mixed conditions, where we worked in a focused and productive manner. With Prema's capabilities, spirit to excel and my strong teammates, this year will be a real opportunity to perform at the next level. I'm clearly very excited about working together the months ahead to develop our 2009 package for a strong start to the season."
Prema is expected to announce its third driver in the upcoming days.
