For the second time this season, Mika Mäki has won a round of the Formula 3 Euro Series. At the 5.245 kilometres long circuit in Mugello in Italy, the 20-year old Finn took the spoils in the fourth season round from Yann Clairay and Edoardo Mortara. Starting from third place, Mika Mäki had the best getaway and took the lead even before the first corner. He immediately pulled clear from the rest of the field. At the finish line, he had a clear margin of 6.7 seconds over Frenchman, Yann Clairay. The 24-year old Frenchman scored the first podium finish for his French team SG Formula in only its fourth Formula 3 race. For the third time in four races held so far this year, points leader Edoardo Mortara was classified third.

Mika Mäki said about his second race win: "It was an excellent race. I had a perfect start, a great speed and all in all a great weekend. After the start, I managed to pull clear immediately. When the gap to Yann Clairay was big enough, I tried to save my tyres and safely drove victory home."
