Williams F1 test driver Nico Hulkenberg will try to forget the first round in the F3 Euroseries as soon as possible. The championship candidate was unable to finish race 1 and race 2 at Hockenheim and is now already nine points behind on championship leaders Mika Maki and Edoardo Mortara.

For Hulkenberg there is only one mission this season; winning the F3 Euroseries championship. The competition in the F3 euroseries is extremely strong and it will be interesting for Formula 1 fans to keep a close eye on the young talents as the F3 champion will most likely by seen in Formula 1 one day.
At Hockenheim Hulkenberg qualified himself in pole position for Race 1, but during a safety car period the German suffered from an engine problem and was unable to finish the race. In the second race the ART Grand Prix driver had to start the race from the back of the grid and worked himself up in the field. With just four laps to go though he suffered from a technical problem and again he failed to finish.
"The weekend started extremely well," said Hulkenberg. "Due to technical problems I'm left with just one single point thanks to my pole position. I'm obviously extremely disappointed but I showed I am fast enough to win races and hopefully luck will be on my side at Mugello."
Red Bull sponsored driver Mika Maki won the opening race on Saturday while Sunday's race was won by Dutchman Renger van der Zande.
